It doesn’t matter if you are a small owner-operator business or a multi million dollar company – there is one approach that when done correctly will have clients eating out of the palm of your hand. Focus on the client’s transformation. What I mean by this, is focusing on taking the client from where they are now to where they want to be.
Every day we see business owners telling the world how great they are at what they do, how awesome their products and services are and how they are the best in the business above all their competitors. The problem with this approach is – in the end the customer doesn’t care about these things.
The customer cares about two things. The problems they have but do not want, or the results they want but do not have. This is where a business needs to focus. If you want customers to say Shut Up and Take My Money – then you need to show them how you will take them from where they are now to where they want to be. Don’t try to sell your product or service, sell the ideal solution, sell the result they will have, sell the transformation.
Tap into their before state, feel their pain, walk in their shoes, and then find their ideal state, what does it look like, smell like, feel like? Take your client on a journey, feel their pain and frustration with them and then guide them to their ideal state.
Clients do not care about how good you are. I repeat, client’s DO NOT CARE about how good you are. They care about if you can give them the results they want for their life. So…. don’t keep telling the client how good you are, show them, guide them, dream with them and demonstrate how you will help them get their transformation.
